SOLABOLIC develops the next generation of parabolic trough solar collectors which have the potential to significantly increase the economic efficiency of solar thermal power plants.

Based on a revolutionary concept, SOLABOLIC parabolic trough will lead to a paradigm shift in the solar power plants industry. Its unique, patented design enables, on the one hand, to prevent the focus deviation due to wind binding loads, and to eliminate inefficiency of large scale parabolic troughs; and on the other hand, to reduce material requirements, production costs, maintenance costs and delivery costs.

As a consequence of the increasingly visible signs of climate change and the international trend to phase out nuclear power, concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies have experienced in the last few years a new impetus, and especially parabolic trough power plants, due to their low electricity production costs, as compared to all other CSP technologies. SOLABOLIC parabolic trough gives the necessary push towards completely replacing the fossil and nuclear energy by solar energy.
